Public Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsya was established in 1921. In 1960 the instructive foundation was named after M.I.Pirogov, in 1984 he was granted the Order of Honor. Since 1994, the Vinnytsia Medical Institute has been confirmed and certify to the IV level of accreditation and has been allowed the status of the University. The public status of the college was procured in 2002, in the very year it was granted the certificates of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
